Star Wars in Concert Amazing Musical Journey
What could I possibly say about this fantastic Star Wars event that hasn't been written already? Probably there is nothing I can write, but I will give it a try! What can I say about this Star Wars in Concert experience?
The concert was fantastic! Everything about it was amazing. From the members of 501st and Rebel Alliance trooping for the event and posing for pictures with the kids, to the prop replicas and movie memorabilia adorning the entrance. The kiosk set up with videos detailing information about the movies was a nice touch.
My experience was made a little more special by the fact that this event was given to me and my son as an early Christmas present. We celebrated Christmas early as I would be leaving on Dec. 20th and missing the holiday with my family. The tickets to see Star Wars in Concert were the last present I opened. My wife gave us tickets to see the last show for the 2009 season in Nashville, a great Christmas present for a Star Wars fan like me and my son.
I was amazed and couldn't sleep the night before we left for Nashville. We arrived early and got to view the props and movie items before the arena filled up. Thanks to the VIP tickets my wife got us, we had really great seats, 6 rows on the right side where Mr. Anthony Daniels would be seated.
The concert was wonderful! The opening with the Fox fanfare music and logo set the stage for an amazing show. My son and I had a blast waving our FX lightsabers in approval. The music of John Williams performed beautifully with video clips from the movies made for a superb event. The musicians and conductor pulled off a great performance despite being on a tight schedule.
The combination of music, video, and Mr. Anthony Daniels' narration was perfect. His oration skills were top-notch as he chronicled the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker. The suite of video, lights, and pyrotechnics telling the tale of Darth Vader was truly amazing. The atmosphere was buzzing with fans' joy, both young and old.
This event is truly amazing, and any Star Wars fan will enjoy it. If you get a chance to experience Star Wars in Concert for yourself, you should definitely go. You won't regret it.
